WhAtEveR!

You know when you have a toddler all he wants to do is play outside. Everyday thats what we do. Na eexpose tuloy ako sa mga neighbors ko...lol. Shy type ako eh. I cannot keep Foster sa house just because shy ako. I have to do it for the sake of Foster's social development (naks, may nalalaman pang social development). Yesterday I saw my neighbor James with his 16 month old daughter, Jenna (Foster is 2 days old lang kay Jenna). I told Randy to take Foster out to meet them. Syempre di pumayag yung isa kesa shy type din sya yesterday..lol. Kelangan daw kasama ako...okay. They did not play together kase nahihiya si Foster at si Jenna gusto lang laruin ang walker ni Foster.

So... today dinala ko sya sa park. Right time, right place. Mukhang may playgroup/playdate ang mga moms and nannies sa park. Karamihan toddler girls at iilan lang ang toddler boys. Every now and then may mga bagong dumadating na moms with their babies. I did made friends and we exchange numbers too.

Cute People, Small World... LOL

This is funny. This is strange. What a strange coincidence. Months back I posted an ad on www.mycypressdirectory.com. I was giving away my coupons from Houston Chronicle newspaper. This girl, Stephanie Evans, replied and all the others who were interested on my coupons. Of all the people I've chosen her. Instead of letting her pick it up I just mailed it. So that was the end of it. Last week I posted another ad on Craigslist for the coupons again. Of all the people, Stephanie was the first one to reply. She came by our house last Saturday evening but we were at Joshua's birthday party. I didn't call her back because I was busy. An hour ago, I checked on Craigslist "Free" section (Houston, Garage Sale Stuff Pending Pick Up"... ako yung tinutukoy nya na pending pick up kase wala pa yung kotse namin) and immediately replied to the ad because I live near her (Highway 249/Louetta). Guess whaaaat... Si Stephanie Evans pala... yikessss.... Trick or Treat! Its a close deal. I'm gonna have her stuff and she'll get my coupons. Wala lang talaga syang time mag hold ng garage sale kase lilipat na sya ng house...

Happy Trick and Treat!

Foster Update

Foster is 16 months now. I am using the "what to expect..." book as a guide to his development. Its my bible. Foster is doing great. He's doing all the stuff and more all the 16 month old toddlers should be doing by this time except for the fact that he's not calling me "mama" yet. He does say "ba" for Barney, ball, bus, birds and "ca for cars and trucks. He does know how to follow instructions and do what I say.

Because I'm worried, I called the American Hearing-Speech-Language Association. She asked me if other kids his age say something that they're supposed to be saying. I said yes. She asked me again if Foster is making eye contact when he's talking to me or calling me (yes). Asked me again if I am bilingual (obviously...lol). Then she said nothing to worry but... You know what I mean? Sabi sa book if in doubt don't hesitate to consult your pediatrician.

I got a referral from AHSLA. Somebody will come over to assess Foster. (My suspicion is that I'm bilingual. I talk to Foster in English and Tagalog and he doesn't have a playmate thats why his speech is delayed). Otherwise, Foster is a happy little kid. He can fully express himself. I'm encouraging him more and really listening to what he's trying to say... My gut feeling tells me he's okay. I just wanna make sure everything is A-Ok. Ika nga "prevention is better than cure."

Bummed Out

I realized I've lost my driver's license yesterday when I organized my bag. Randy and I thought of the places I've been to last Friday. The only store I visited last Friday were Old Navy and Target. I returned stuff there and sometimes they asked for your driver's license. I was forgetful these days and I remember thinking not to forget to take my driver's license back. Lo and behold, I just did. I called both stores but nothing was found. I hope somebody got it and will mail it to me. Just thankful na I didn't have accident that day because I drove the car that day na kasama ko si Foster. Kung hindi in dilemma ako kase kasama ko si Foster ana nagda drive ng walang license! Sana makita ko na ang driver's license ko.

Payat

oo sobra. di na ko tumaba-taba. Randy told me that in their office they used to lie about their weights when filling up some documents for insurance companies. In my case he had to add up some 10 pounds. I went to my doctor last week but she forgot to prescribe some pill or something for me to gain weight as she's more worried of the side effect of the pill that I'm taking right now.
